As I sit inside the same four walls in the comfort of my own home, doing everything in my power to protect my son from the worldwide pandemic I can’t help but feel angry, grateful, envious, blessed and a whole lot of other emotions.
Parents of children with special needs have always been in a category of their own in terms of feeling isolated. We are now even more shielded than ever but, as we’re all living in these unusual times, we feel a bit less alone so to speak.
Everyone around us appears to be doing their part in protecting their loved ones and our communities. I, for one take comfort in that which make these times somewhat more bearable.
