Remembering the Bright Side
One billion people, which is about 15% of the world’s population, experience some form of disability. Our children do not have the same opportunities as others and often experience exclusion from everyday activities. This is a reality that many of us face to some degree or other.
But the bright side is that we have much to be thankful for that others will never experience…the true inspiration our children give us that bring us strength, determination and perseverance. We are not the people we were before our child or children were born. We are stronger, more determined, and will continue to persevere because we are proud to claim them as our children!
What is something that your child did that brought a smile to your face?
