Robbie Foundation Appreciates Donation
The Robbie Foundation wants to express its sincere gratitude to Walgreens Corporation, specifically Greg Paramantgis (district manager), Seth Jirkowic (Scarborough store manager), Charlie Sawyer and Ben Moxey (Portland store managers) for helping us bridge the gap for the special needs children in Maine. The Forest Avenue and Marginal Way Walgreen’s stores sponsored a National Lobster Day event on June 15.
The turnout by Walgreens’ customers and employees was incredibly generous. The event collected $2,000 presented to the Robbie Foundation. We are a one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization that offers a safety net for children with disabilities.
The Scarborough-based foundation provides funding for families of children of all disabilities to buy adaptive equipment, assistive technology, therapy treatment or any other necessary item not covered by insurance.
The money raised by the National Lobster Day event goes a long way to improving the quality of life of these amazing children, especially during a time where funding and services are being cut on state and federal level.
Again, we salute Walgreens for its amazing generosity and outstanding commitment to making a difference in the lives of children of all disabilities.
