“Spotlight” Grant Recipient – Meet Mason
Next let’s meet ten year old Mason from South Berwick. The youngster has Dravet Syndrome, also know as Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy. It is a rare and catastrophic form of intractable epilepsy that begins at infancy. The conditions include multiple types of seizures, behavioral and development delays, movement and balance issues and orthopedic conditions.
Mason attends religious education classes once a week, but the church which holds the classes was not wheelchair accessible. Thanks to a donation of a ramp from the Robbie Foundation, Mason is now attending these classes and other functions which are important to his family.
