Robbie Foundation and Portland Wheelers have partnered to bring free rides to kids with special needs this summer. We encourage families to ride along side the Wheeler to create a procession of riders. There will be six bikes and wheelers going out at a time for a 30-60 minute ride. (Ride duration depends on the number of riders that sign up so that we may accept as many kids as possible.)
Date: Saturday, July 20 from 10am – 1pm
Location: Eastern Promenade
Cost: FREE
Pre-registration required
Portland Wheelers is a volunteer-run organization that provides free rides on specially adapted tricycles for people who cannot ride a bike but would love to go for a ride. They provide outdoor experiences for people unable to ride a bike by themselves and get people outdoors for therapeutic recreation, socialization, and adventure.
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you enjoy working with children who have special needs? We need volunteers to help organize rides and support this fun outdoor event.
Robbie Foundation is grateful for its Wheelie Fun Day sponsors! Funds raised and donations received by Robbie Foundation go directly to purchase equipment, technology, and/or therapy treatment for children in need that isn’t covered by insurance. At Robbie Foundation, 100% of funds raised go to Maine children with special needs for the equipment, technology, and/or therapy treatment they need, but isn’t covered by insurance.
