A Special Thank You from the Robbie Foundation

Such a wonderful, caring local foundation that helps so many children. It’s an honor to support you

This foundation is SO needed. And so appreciated. Insurance can only do so much. As any family with a disabled child can attest to, it can even be a hassle to get insurance to cover the bare necessities at times. So many families, so many Maine children, teens wouldn’t dream of being able to access some of the things they are now able to, thanks to the Robbie foundation. Something as “simple” as a child getting their first bike that they can safely ride, a milestone almost everyone can remember reaching themselves as a kid, is often times out of reach financially for such families. And yet, here the Robbie Foundation is. swooping in to make sure each child has this experience. Giving Maine kids and their families the option to live a much fuller life, it really can be life changing. Not just for the child, but for their loved ones too. When I first looked into the RF, saw what they offered what they were trying to accomplish, I KNEW that these are people with huge hearts. People who genuinely know and can relate to the unforeseen obstacles that many families and individuals with disabilities face. I felt like I had found “our people”. So when my father passed away last week and my husband’s employer, NRF Distributors, asked if we would like for them to make a donation, in my dad’s name…I knew instantly what foundation to choose. As a grandpa to a special needs child, my child, this would’ve made my father so happy. Knowing a child’s life will be impacted in such a meaningful way. Thank you, again. For everything that the RF does and continues to do each day for kids in Maine.
