This goes out to all the siblings of children with special needs. I like to call these kids the experts. They know more about being a sibling of a person with special needs than most adults ever will. They have a lot to teach us.
Parenting a special needs child is challenging to begin with, let alone having to address the needs of more than one child. Carving out special time for siblings of children with special needs is essential for sure. Hearing their voice and listening to their feelings play a big part in their development, as they have so much to say.
