When meeting families, any families, we often have the idea that we can look at each other or comment to one another with common language and understanding. But you may be surprised at the reactions. The responses may be friendly or may be stand-off-ish. Since every family is special in their own way, we’ve learned to not expect anything and to go with the flow.
